I am an Plains Ojibway PhD student at the University of Toronto seeking a research assistant to join me for field research in coastal BC this summer.

The goal of the project is to understand how salmon aquaculture influences salmon pathogens in coastal waters. This research is done in partnership with Uu-a-thluk Fisheries, Ahousaht First Nation’s Maaqtusiis Hahoulthee Stewardship Society, the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nations, the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, the Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxw Fisheries Group, the ʼNamgis First Nation, Mamalilikulla First Nation, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Pacific Salmon Foundation, and Salmon Coast Field Station.
